University of Delhi Foundation
The University of Delhi Foundation is a not-for-profit company established by the University of Delhi, incorporated under Section 8 of the Indian Companies Act 2013.
The Foundation has been created with the primary objective of building and supporting the Delhi University Endowment Fund of the University of Delhi, through mobilising donations, funds, subscriptions and contributions from individuals, well-wishers, alumni, philanthropists, associations, institutions, business fraternity, industries, and corporates.
The mandate of the Foundation is to promote interaction among the alumni, students, and well-wishers of the University through organising reunions of the alumni, seminars, meetings, lectures, discussions, conference, study tours and other academic pursuits to carry forward the brand and promoting the values of the University.
The funds raised by the University of Delhi Foundation will accrue to the Endowment Fund of the University which will be run by an independent Board of the Fund. The Endowment Fund shall be utilised to enhance the University infrastructure, granting scholarships, creating chair professorships, providing support services to the students, and building capacity in the academic programmes of the University.
The Foundation is headed by Prof Yogesh Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi, with the Board of Directors consisting of eminent professors and practitioners to oversee the activities of the Foundation.
